Golf tourism in the Philippines runs on a short circuit: Manila, Clark, Cebu. Negros sits in the middle of the country and is not on it. That is precisely the appeal — these are member-owned clubs where a weekday round is unhurried, in a province most international golfers could not point to on a map.
David plays these courses himself, which is why the trips run the way they do. He books the tee times, he answers your messages, and he meets you at arrivals. He also takes no more than twenty golfers in any one week — and when a week is full he says so, instead of squeezing you in.

Mr Phil's Golf Getaways is run by its two company directors. David Duncan is Scottish and has played golf to a first-class standard for over fifty years, around the UK and the Middle East before he moved to the Philippines. Jenny is Filipino, from Negros, and looks after what the trips need on the ground. Between them, that is why you deal with the people organising your week rather than with an agent in between.
We are a small and fairly new company, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. What we can offer instead is that the person who answers your message is the person who meets you at the airport, and that the business is registered here in the Philippines under DTI No. 7441035 — which you are welcome to check before you send us anything at all.
If any part of a package is unclear, ask before you pay. We would far rather answer ten questions now than have you land expecting something different.

- Are flights included in the price?
- No. The package covers your accommodation, your golf and every transfer on the ground. You book your own flights to Bacolod, Dumaguete or Iloilo — all three are short domestic hops from Manila or Cebu. Send us your flight details and we will be waiting at arrivals.
- Do I have to pay the whole amount up front?
- No. A 50% deposit secures your week, your room and your tee times. The balance is settled before you play.
- Do I need to be a club member to play these courses?
- No. Your green fees, cart and caddie at each club are arranged for you as part of the package, and your tee times are reserved before you arrive.
- My partner does not play golf. Is that a problem?
- Not at all — Package 2 exists for exactly that. It is a double room for a golfer and a non-golfing partner, with three rounds for the golfer. Ask us and we will suggest what your partner can do while you are on the course.
- What if the week I want is already full?
- We cap the number of golfers we take in any one week so that nobody is rushed. If your check-in date is full the booking form tells you before you pay, and we will suggest the closest week that is open.
- Can you change a package to suit us?
- Tell us what you have in mind — extra nights, an extra round, a different room, two destinations in one trip — and we will tell you honestly whether we can arrange it and what it would come to.
- How do I know you are a real company?
